About The Author

Hi everyone! I'm Amaara Mohammed- Owner/Founder of ASM Desserts. 

My passion for everything culinary began at a very young age. At age 12, I vividly rememeber helping my grandma cook after she fell ill due to heart issues- she'd sit in the kitchen and give me clear instructions on how to make each dish, from spicy curried chicken and roti to creamy macaroni and cheese. 

I always baked in high school (proud SAGHS alumni) for friends and bake sales, but I started baking as a business in my first year at the University of the West Indies for Valentines' Day. 

This blog resonates my love for cooking and baking, a lot of which is inspired by my love for traveling. 

My intention is to provide you with simple but satisfying recipes that you can easily recreate on your own, whether to entertain or for your personal enjoyment.
